OMIG Certification Requirements to Change

Carl Pucci

OMIG has changed the Compliance Certification Requirement (SSL Certification). Previously, providers were required to file the SSL Certification as well as the Deficit Reduction Act (DRA) certification by calendar year end. The new requirement combines both certifications into one:  “Certification Statement for Provider Billing Medicaid”. The OMIG link: https://omig.ny.gov/compliance/compliance-certification provides further instructions as well as the certification document.  Note: Providers must now certify each facility on the respective anniversary date of the facilities’ enrollment in Medicaid.

Questions regarding the Provider listing or enrollment date should be directed to eMEDNY at (800) 343-9000 or via email at providerenrollment@health.ny.gov

Questions regarding the OMIG Certification changes should be directed to compliance@omig.ny.gov.
